MGM Art Space’s inaugural 2013 exhibition celebrated the life and legacy of Sandro Botticelli, featuring his masterpiece Venus (ca. 1482) in its Macau debut. I was commissioned to create an immersive 4 × 12 m backdrop recreating Florence’s historic Piazza della Signoria.

Using Giuseppe Zocchi’s painting The Piazza della Signoria in Florence as a reference, I modelled the scene in 3D, adding painted figures and collage elements to bring the streets to life. A projected sky provided realistic illumination, creating the illusion of stepping into the square.
