Hotel Royal Chihpen promo character animation

In 2022, Whitelight Motion led a cinematic campaign for Hotel Royal Chihpen’s 30th anniversary, reimagining hotel staff as Hollywood characters to rebrand the resort as an adventure destination. They commissioned our team to animate all human characters in the one-minute promo. The concept drew heavily from classic Hollywood films – particularly La La Land’s iconic dance sequence – conveying glamour and timeless elegance.

As character animation director, I oversaw the delivery of polished, coloured character animation based on Whitelight’s character designs and storyboard. I supervised a key animator and animation assistant, personally animated the dancing duo and hot spring scenes, and handled inbetweening and cleanup throughout.
