Ginger, an oil painting

I saw a cloud one morning so pale it barely touched the sky, so I wanted to capture that same lightness in this painting. Created in 2024 in memory of our family cat Ginger.

Adding titanium white on wet raw umber gives brown, and on dried raw umber a bluish grey, so the whole painting process was a delicate play of cold and warmth using only two paints.
