Find Find is a digital watercolour animated short completed in late 2025, currently on the festival circuit. It follows an octopus who finds a plastic cup and immediately falls in love with it – unaware of the price she will pay. Whether this is a blessing or a curse, or a little of both, is left for the audience to decide.

The film draws on a technical process I began developing in 2020, programming the computer to paint watercolour animation frame by frame. A fuller introduction to the technique can be found under R&D of Find Find, a presentation prepared for a HKUST forum. Despite the new technology, traditional animation remains the foundation of the artistic vision.

Find Find has entered the Vermont Animation Festival in the US and the Apedemak Sudan International Animation Film Festival (this year held in Cairo), and won Best Professional Short Animated Film at the Chitkara International Animation Film Festival in India. I’m extremely proud of our team and grateful for their beautiful work – some of which I’ll be sharing on this page. Credit is always given.
